Christian Holstad is one of the young artists who have attracted most attention in America. In Japan, his participation in the last Yokohama triennale is still fresh in our minds. His solo exhibitions have since been held around the world.

This publication is a boxed edition that contains the amateur photographs which he had collected for the installation “Blood Bath & Beyond” presented at hiromi yoshii, the gallery in Kiyosumi, Tokyo in 2007. All photographs are replicated exactly as they are, with same paper quality, same surface coating, same inscription on the reverse side and same decoration of cutting on the edge, as well as full-sized with same colors.
